Clinical Care

Clinical care includes the knowledge and skills related to the physical and technical aspects of nursing care. Nurses directly provide technical care to meet the clinical needs of a patient. In some cases, family members will directly participate in the physical care to support activities of daily living under the guidance of the nurse.

Some aspects of clinical nursing care may need modification to accommodate spiritual and cultural needs, such as meeting the needs of the fasting patients during the holy month of Ramadan. As noted earlier, clinical care may be adapted to incorporate cultural and spiritual healing methods in the nursing care plan.
